Golden Goose discs resell for real money, often $300 or more. Variants in general are rare and as the flock grows, newcomers need a source of truth. People point to this site to show what a disc is. That only works if the variant tags here can be trusted.
So variant tags are now checked by a moderator (just me, Alex Cue) before they show publicly. This includes new uploads and every tag that was already on the site. Your photos still go up right away. Only the tag waits for a look.
What you'll see
- Variant badges on member photos are gone for now. They'll come back as each tag is reviewed. There are a lot of them, so it will take a little while.
- On your own Photos and Collection pages, a tag that's waiting is marked as pending review.
- Your photos stay up the whole time.
What you need to do
Nothing. You don't have to re-tag or re-upload anything.
How you'll hear back
When a moderator approves, changes, or removes one of your tags, you'll see a line under Updates on your Account page. A gold dot on your avatar tells you there's something new. If the moderator left a note, it shows there too.
If you think a decision is wrong
Use the "Think this is wrong?" link on that update, or write to us from the Contact page. Tell us which photo it is and what you think it shows, and we'll take another look.
